Ryan had just emailed me to say he is still up for doing an interview and Q&A with us on the board.
I may meet up with him next week if our diaries can be aligned! So, any questions you want me to put to him?
Ask away.

Will Ryan be working with Ian in the future, or was he hired strictly for the Thick tour?

I'm very impressed with Ryan's contribution to the TAAB2 tour. Here are my questions:
What is the most memorable experience you have had on tour with Ian (thus far)?
How does working on the Thick as a Brick tour differ from your other professional work?
Thanks and keep up the good work! Enjoyed you in Connecticut this past October.

Great work on TAAB2, Ryan! It was remarkable to hear how much of an affinity you had with Ian's vocal lines, and musical style. You are obviously a talented singer, but you are also an actor. Did you prepare for performing Ian's vocals (old and new) from a singer's mindset - as a singer in a tribute band might (to put it far too crudely!), or more as a character actor getting into a role?

Hi Ryan We met in Sant Feliu (Catalonia) and you received many compliments from everyone, I agree, you do a great job on the new album, especially in the live show. You knew the music of Jethro Tull before being hired by Ian? You could comment to us as was the selection for this job? Thanks and see you again in Barcelona on February 6 Remy from Barcelona

Hello Ryan Nice job on the TAAB shows. I enjoyed your performance very much. Q. How aware were you of Jethro Tull before you started with them and what was your opinion of Tull before hand? Q. How did Ian go about auditioning you? Did he just come out and ask if you could mimic his voice? How much direction did Ian give you as far as movement around the stage, any? Q. How did you like the Auld Dubliner, in Long Beach California (We briefly spoke outside as I was leaving) The Hooligans were playing that night, very loudly, forcing the wives to force us out. Would've liked to have bought Tom and yourself a beer. Thanks for agreeing to participate with us! Hope to see you again! Steve in Long Beach, CA

Do you have a lot of creative input into the various props and gestures that you perform on stage? They fit in so well they seem almost to have always been a part of the Tull / Ian Anderson universe.

Hi Ryan. I just wanted to ask you this: from long long time I follow the Jethro Tull and Ian's career, and I know that he has a strong personality. How did you find working with him, and if you've never had any problems. I' ve enjoyed you several times all along last year. Thank you. Michele.

Hello Ryan, we met in San Javier, Spain last July at the back stage as you all were signing our old and new Tull records, thanks for the great and short experience. The concert at that venue over a warm summer nigt was highly awesome. Question, How was your first experience on a Rock Tour over the world ? ardous, exciting, exhausting? You'll also have for sure a big deal of tales to share, can you still recall any to tell us here and now? Thanks for your great contribution to the band. Hope you're still hangin' on more time with the band. Best of luck

Hello Ryan,
Fans have been suggesting for many years now that Ian use another vocalist on stage so you are a much welcomed member to the Tull community. I look forward to seeing the brick show in 2013. As asked above, I am also curious if Ian laid out any more future plans with you beyond the TAAB tour? Have you begun preparing to work on other Tull songs? Thank You for taking part!

Hello Ryan. At first, the thought of another vocalist being a part of this group seemed unimaginable. You have far exceeded expectations from myself and others with a very classy performance.
- Can you relate to the Gerald Bostock character in your own life? - Have there been any scary moments on and off stage that made you question yourself in this role? - What is your favorite music in general other than Tull?
Thanks for being so gracious with us in Asheville, North Carolina last September. We loved every moment! Jim - Tryon, North Carolina
