Very cool Tabita! I believe I'm not the only one thinking that we need you to teach our wives how to do that!

Yes. Hot women dancing to Tull are essential. Jeff

So which is the best Tull song to dance to?! My vote is "Heavy Water!"

I think it is not necessary to discuss whether Ian is effeminate ... I do it because I like it's my way of showing how much I love Jethro. And so it was that I was invited to enter this fourum by one of his moderators who are very kind. It is necessary that I keep dancing, dance for Jethro always! I believe that here is a place to talk or demonstrate our love for Jethro, is not it? So I talk to them dancing. Thanks to all who enjoy!

Every form of expression is necessary, within the limits of good education. Write, ask, sing, dance, debate, defend, discuss, praise, everything here is made to express.

No not every form of expression is necessary or good. As for hot women dancing to Tull, I can go to You Tube, find a capable belly dancer, put on Tull’s Rare and Precious Chain, and do way better. I really wonder how many would show this to their wives and say “honey I want you to do that”. There is always a point made about the level of discussion and decorum on this board vs. elsewhere, I truly think this misses the mark. I am glad you like Tull, contribute to the discussion.

Why my video bother you so much? I will not take it any more because I think bullshit. Simply'll continue to do what I like, and if I'm here, it was in recognition of my friends, anyway Jethro'm dancing and not belly dance music. To me that's all I had to talk to you, you can also watch no more ok? And yes all forms of expression is valid.

The popularity of TJTB speaks for itself, as there are literally thousands of topics on the board for our members to be a part of. I recommend not participating in any threads that you personally find objectionable. And showing a little kindness to our members would be nice as well.

You are right, Tabita, just ignore this guy and keep posting your Tull-dancing videos, and any other videos of your singing and dancing that you like! I have seen nothing but positive reactions to your videos, with him as the only exception. I am not sure what's up with him, and why he felt the need to go out of his way to criticize your dancing. Even if it's not his cup of tea, why say something hurtful instead of just keeping it to himself? I have always said that The Jethro Tull Board's main emphasis has always been on Tull fans, even more so than the band itself. The greatness of Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson is well-known and has been discussed zillions of times over the past 40+ years. What interests me even more than Tull is the creativity, imagination and intelligence of Tull fans, which explains our emphasis on fans' Tull-inspired drawings, painting and other art, as well as their music (such as Tull tribute bands), dancing, stories, opinions, thoughts and dreams. We love Tull fans, that's why we are so popular! People should be respectful of the artistic and creative efforts of our members. Even if they do not care for them, if they don't have something nice to say, why say anything at all? Jeff

You crazy kids and your dancing...stop it and get off my lawn! The most natural interpretation of music is dance. I understand people have been doing it for some time. Dancing in response to music makes more sense than writing about it. There is a quote that is often attributed to the great Thelonious Monk that goes something like, "writing about music is like dancing about architecture". I like these videos and thought the Heavy Horses video was great! I'll ask my wife to dance to Tull, I think she would laugh her ass off and give it a shot if I would. This thread kind of reminds me of the old joke. Q: Why don't [fill in the religious order] have sex standing up? A: It may lead to dancing. I always gladdens my heart when younger folks are into Tull. Thanks, the videos have been fun.

I know how you feel, I too love it. And you feel the best dancing to music you love. I too have done dancing to Tull, I'm an Irish dancer and have done that to Tull but that is probably not as exciting as your dancing, haha.

Damn, who pissed in your Cheerios? Considering that Tull has had women dancing onstage on several tours, did you walk out because the blessed decorum of the concert was sullied? Or did you find songs like "A Hunting Girl" too risque for your delicate sensibilities? Do what you enjoy doing, Tabita. Life is too short to conform to sanctimonious censors.

I think every one of us should be required to submit a 'Dancing to Tull' video here. It would be hysterical, I mean awesome.
