"Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre will embark on a solo band tour of England at the end of September.
He’s concentrating on Martin Barre’s New Day while his Tull colleague Ian Anderson focuses on his Thick As A Brick 2 project. The guitarist recently said: “Since Ian and I have been playing together for many years, we have a mutual respect for one another – both as people and as musicians.
“It’s a marriage of understanding and giving the other person space, and knowing that the history and catalog of Jethro Tull’s music was of our making.”
Barre heads out on tour after appearing at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention on August 9. He recently completed work on his fifth solo album and is negotiating over a release in the near future.
Meanwhile, Tull will release a four-DVD set entitled Around The World Live on June 3 via Eagle Rock. It comes packaged in a 32-page hardback book containing photos from Ian Anderson’s personal archive and explanatory text on each live show. Martin Barre’s New Day UK tour

We're a year later than the thread indicates, but what the hell - last night Martin played Zoetermeer, a venue with a capacity of 700, I think more than hall full. Wow, wow and another one. Four piece band with a very relaxed - talkative and funny Martin, great atmosphere on stage, stood so close that many times I had to duck a little because his guitar was over my head. A very tight band, great bass in particular. Bought the new album, + magazine (at €2 a bargain). Think David Rees was there.
I can only say to all and everyone - go and see MArtin in concert, it is such a great experience!!
Biggles: Sooo jealous! enjoy.

teddy: Seems like everyone trying to figure out " Eat Hermione for lunch" just don't get it. A Popular vegetarian line of food is advertised by a woman named Hermione. You can see the advertisement on line. Thus it is not oral sex with a office girl. Munch.

lclark354: Hello everyone. I recently finished a room addition, and can finally set up surround sound. I've purchased all the Tull sets, except, of course,TAAB. Is there a site where one can purchase & download the 5.1 files? Or, any word on a re-issue?

madjack1959: Hello to everyone from Lexington, Kentucky. Part of what led me here, was mention of Gentle Giant. I've listened to Tull for ages, and then was introduced to GG via Octopus I saw in the record store, and that was my start. I've never seen either "live" :
