I was trolling around last night, and started watching this show. I forgot how much I liked this song, and especially live with Barrie on the little elizabethan drum set and Martin on a lot of little bits of percussion. Great song.

Yup...awesome song. I was blown away when just about 3 or 4 years ago or so they were playing in Thousand Oaks and dusted this one off for a go. Great, great, great!

For many years my mates and I used to religously send off to the BBC ticket Unit for tickets to shows that the BBC were recording for radio or TV. Mostly, you didn't know who you would be seeing until the dj/announcer welcomed them onto the small stage, The radio shows had audiences of around 100-200. On the back of the BBC recordings, over 10 years or so I got to see some of the greatest bands in the world. The radio shows were frequently recorded at the Paris studios just off Regent Street in Central London, TV shows were recorded at a number of places, but the best was on 10th February 1977 at the Golders Green Hippodrome, short 1 hour set to tie in with the show format, but it was damned good. Response from the BBC ticket office for Tull tickets!

I love that whole performance, and "Velvet Green" is really well played, I even like it better than the studio version!

Brilliant song, Tull at their peak. Best lineup by a mile for me.
