There's some ideas for me to work on! And that over the top ending! So many rhythms going on at once. And those incredible feet! I would never guess a drum solo would come at the end of that tune. Thanks for sharing it

After learning that he names Louie Bellson as an influence, I looked up some Bellson clips on youtube, and can hear it. Bellson is considered the first drummer to use two bass drums, so he obviously did some of the first explorations in that area. He also incorporated some cool snare work and cymbal patterns with their use, just like Barrie does. So cool to finally trace some of his influences. Naturally, it goes back to a great jazz drummer. He also frequently mentions Michael Giles, the original King Crimson drummer, who had a unique style all his own.
