Well it looks like Ian wasn't the only one using the Anderson plaid for stage attire. I'll bet it work for them too! Darin

It must be because they have squeezy things.
I never bothered to look it up but for some reason in my head I always assumed Anderson tartan was going to be red and black. haha. It's kind of awesome.

Ians coat from late 71 thru 73 and later his vest and cape in 78, (Also the 72 flatcaps that they all wore with the trenchcoats) were the in the Anderson tartan.....red and black? I thought color blindness was limited to males? Photo: Didi Zill

I never knew it was that one or that he wore it on stage. That is awesome?
Less to do with color blindedness but more the own Mothfairytales I create in my head. Yeah, you don't want to get in my head. It's a mess in there.

I can only imagine that its VERY colorful in your head......!! (Do Mothfairies have tales?)

Now I am now in love with the Anderson tartan. I love the color combination and I have a thing for plaid. What if there was a plaid moth? If there isn't, can we make one? An Anderson plaid moth.

Here you go Holly. My old man ran a cloth import/export business and this is taken from his [his as in owned by him- not as in written by him] reference book of tartans. Oddly I seem to remember that most tartans were produced in the Yorkshire Mills rather than the Scottish Mills. If you need a higher res scan of the tartan then let me know.

Oh that's great, your dad had a neat business. Love the history lesson. I've looked up a number of tartans some associated with names of my family members and Anderson was by far the most pleasing to the eye as far as I'm concerned. Though I could just be a geek. Need something in this design.

I've always loved Tartans as well, ever since I was a kid. The Anderson Tartan is a very good one.
