Well it's going to take me a few weeks to write it up, but I think it will be worth it.
Today I met up with Jane, the APP ballerina and iconic album cover star.
A few revelations, some great details and insight to the Play, Warchild and a whole lot more.....
Just to say a huge thank you to Jane for over three hours of her time and delightful company sitting outside in a recently opened regenerated part of London, talking, going through her personal memorabilia of that time and her recollections of what must have been a great time.
Watch this space for the interview, coming up soon.
Once again, huge thanks to Jane.

I'm going to cry myself to sleep ever every night until we hear about it. I should have asked for something weird like a piece of her hair to bring to me.

It will be fresh air to find out some items that we might not of known. An extra special thanks must go to Jane for her to give up her time to relive events that where so long ago, and to share her memories of them to us. Once again Pat, you have done an outstanding job of finding another piece of the Jethro Tull story,, thanks..

My wife calls them "yippy dogs" because they yip instead of bark. I have a friend that has one called Bella and she can almost talk. She says 'ellow,' and "no." Stacey swears she asked for some milk one morning but I've only heard the "no."

Yeah kind of! She actually screams like a person and tries to sing. If you didn't have that dialup I'd share a video. I think it's a-moose-ing. but not everyone agrees. I really hope she lives to be that old, because she may be 9 or 10, we're not sure, she was a stray from New Haven. She has cheated death so many times. She was lost or abandoned by someone, then captured by animal control, almost put to sleep, had Lyme and kidneys that were failing, a respiratory infection, attacked by what we think was a hawk, her abdomen needed many stitches and she was bruised all over. She slipped away from us and was almost hit by a jeep. Now she's battling some skin problem
Now off to cry myself to sleep like I said I would do 'ever every' night in my first post here. Oh the joys of tablet typing, like what happened with Caylee, she barely touched the screen. Can someone please bring my laptop back?

You really have a heart for that sort of thing don't you. And didn't you used to work with old folks? Very touching, and commendable. Yeah, would love to view the amoosing video but you're right, I'm in the techno dark ages. I had to wait seven years just to get a few seconds of the moose parts video. My dad had some goats once. I can't be around them because they sound so human. One would holler "Hey!" now and then which would irritate me. I have this neighbor now, down the road a piece, that has a goat and it will sound like a crying baby sometimes. Would somebody please get this woman her laptop back ...

Haha, yes, actually I had older people and younger people too, many with disabilities, that I helped with. Did I mention before one of my riodents had cancer? He even received chemotherapy treatments. haha. He didn't make it though. It was a new experimental thing.
Goats and sheep are hysterical. I can't wait to get some. Did they sound like this?
Laptop showed up at the door today! It wasn't working too well at first but now it seems good. They replaced...just about everything. Same hard drive and same screen but everything else is different. ha. Now the tablet goes back to being a toy for the kids.

Same hard drive and same screen but everything else is different. ha. Now the tablet goes back to being a toy for the kids. Ha! How funny Mothy. Yeah, they sometimes scream like a woman. And sometimes they holler, "Help!!". Did you watch the other goat vids? I was telling Blue about our goats back in the summer and she said she knew a goat that would say, "Yo!" She said he must have been from Jersey. The real riot though is when the civil defense horn goes off at night for tornados, or an ambulance or patrol car with a siren comes through. Every dog and coyote for miles starts howling. Sirens are a fairly rare event out here so they never get used to it. I didn't know one of your riodents had cancer. Too bad the experiment didn't work. You should have been a vet. I miss seeing those things in seasonal attire. A highlight of the old board. You should be happy now that the laptop is back. Being it has all new parts it won't know you so you'll have to potty train it.

I did watch the other ones but several seemed to be different videos of that same guy. Me, Kenneth and Jen went camping with some friends one time and someone at the campground had a goat and our friend Pat that came swore all night that the goat was calling him and saying, "Pa-a-a-a-t" Jen's boyfriend at the time, brought a dog that kept jingling it's chain all night keeping us awake, and another friend Paul claimed that there was a cat in heat hanging around his tent. No one else heard that one. Needless to say no one got any sleep. I love not camping. I'm so happy my Caylee is quiet except when I provoke her to "sing."
Yeah, that was Pete who had it, I think he had some kind of leukemia caused by a retrovirus. I will dig out that older photo of them closer to Christmas, since it tied into the Christmas Album. That'll be a highlight here at the board...everyone will be on the edge of their seats. My new riodents, all they do is beg for food, they drive me crazy. I couldn't have been a vet, I couldn't put any animals to sleep. I did go to school for wildlife biology, but I didn't finish the degree.

Watch this space for the interview, coming up soon. Once again, huge thanks to Jane. Can't wait! One of the most iconic album covers (front and back) of all time. The dichotomy of life and death. Wow.

I think the riodents in seasonal attire were the perfect mascots for the Tull board. But that's just me, and my taste does slant at times I'll admit, but I thought it clever. Wildlife biology huh. Impressive. This is the perfect place for you to continue your studies along those lines. The only thing worse than a dog jingling his chain on a camping trip is a dog that continually smacks everytime the lantern is dowsed. ...... and the bear rumaging through the camp supplies of course.

A brief update on things - apologies for the delay in getting the interview up on The Board.
Loads of excuses!
There's a lot of 'tape' to get through and transcribe,
plus,
There's also been a lot of distractions over the last month, not the least of which was a fantastic 5 days in NYC and Boston with some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing and meeting through this board, without doubt the best 'convention' I have ever attended! More on that to follow as well.
There was the unexpected and unwelcome interruption to The Board's Facebook Page due to an unsubstantiated complaint [made by person or person unknown] which is now resolved thanks to a lot of hard workk by Jeff, with a decent and welcome increase in membership, [so that little bit of interference seemed to backfire]
and,
a number of other interesting projects which will bear frutiion over the next 6 months or so.
But to keep you interested while I sort out adding another 6 or 7 hours to my working day, I had a great time meeting the star of the iconic album cover.
Jane and I talked about a lot of things including the [almost] unexpected 'sharp intake of breath' comment that Jane was also Ian's partner while APP toured and for the period running through the development of Warchild, so a lot of great insights there into the period regarded by many to be Ian and Tull's most creative;
Also details on the filming of APP and how Jane got involved in the whole project and lots of other interesting facts and stories.....and
seeing some of Jane's personal photo's it turns out Ian was a pretty damned good photographer, but then he did have a nice looking model.
All to come soon!

All to come soon! Thanks for the update Quizz. This has also served as a worthy teaser, which has prodded my couriosity all the more. Not surprising to learn that IA is a good photographer. If I remember my tour programs rightly, he has a passion for black and white film ( I suppose to offset the the vivid color of his lyrics, music, theatrics, onstage persona and costume ) is a collector of rare cameras, and an art school dropout. For one who deals in so much imagry, it's not surprising that the man with the ear has the eye as well.
