Seems that Barrie Barlow will appear on Ex-The Cult's James Stevenson's new album "Everything's getting closer to being over" album which is due for release on Universal on 10th March.
Also appearing are Chris Bell [Thompson Twins], Geoff Dugmore [Killing Joke], Glen Matlock [Sex Pistols and Rich Kids], Craig Adams [The Cult], Pete Rizzo [Gene loves Jezabel], Mark Taylor [Simple Minds] and Steve Norman [Spandau Ballet]

That Livgren album was good, it had some great music there. The Barrie tracks are excellent . Have to look into the Miles album. thanks Charlie Darin

I believe I have that one somewhere. Wasn't Dio on that album as well? Barry played with him, Yngwie, Jimmy Page, Alex Harvey, and others after Tull, then he disapears only to resurface in the 90s with the flatulent virtuoso Mr. Methane.

yea Dio played on "To Live For The King"... Michael have you checked out the Barrie discography that darin and myself put together? I thought that was Dio. Don't remember the credits but I can still hear his unmistakable voice in my memory of that album, which I haven't heard since .. like maybe the mid 80s. Wasn't there another one .... The Great Deciever, or something he sung on? Or perhaps To Live For The King is the one I'm hearing. A friend and I got to talk with Livgren after a concert one night for over an hour. He mentioned being influenced by Tull's stage theatrics and the music of Gentle Giant. No I haven't seen that discography. I had to be away from here for a couple years and lost out on some things. I lost Barry as well over a couple decades also. I just assumed since Rees wasn't covering his doings much in AND that Barry must not be doing much. I dropped AND a few years back though. I'll check out the discography. Thanks.

Guess I should have thanked you Derek. That surely fills in a lot of gaps for me. Well done!

I haven't actively collected any Tull-related items in years, but I recently came across a pristine copy of this: This is Tandoori Cassette - the band Barrie formed after leaving Tull in 1979. Have any of you heard it? Well if you haven't, you are about to as I will create some Youtube tracks of it soon and post them here.
