Hey I'm re-stringing one of my acoustics and wondered what other players use. I like the D'Addario EJ16 Lights, .012-.053

However, I discovered Martin Bronze 80/20 extra lights a few years ago and haven't looked back. I'm a rock guitarist who occasionaly plays acoustic so that's one reason I like these extra lights - for the feel. They sound great though and last forever. Someone had left a couple sets of these behind at a studio in Nashville so the engineer there said I could have them. Otherwise I would have never discovered them. Earthwood strings have a great feel and sound too but they don't last.

Can't go wrong wit D'Addario or Martin SP -- medium lights or lights, depending on the acoustic (I use lights on my Ovations and medium lights on my Martin). Ernie Ball Slinky Nickel for electric.

You guys ever try the coated Elixir strings for acoustic? A little more pricey but they are very smooth and the nice new string tone lasts a while longer than normal. Very much worth a try.
