I'm convinced that there will be a new Jethro Tull album at some point, but that it will probably be the last one. I'm sure the new members weren't hired just for incessant touring. It just seems doubtful that a new band would have been assembled for that purpose alone, and I'm sure both O'hara and Goodier would want to be part of a new Tull record. At least I hope so. Jeff

I think it was in 2006, predicting a new album by 2007. Oh, well, I'm probably wrong this time too. Hope not, though. Jeff

Hallo to all. I don't know why ,i believe the dreamed new album will arrive because the new members joined the band.It would be a further motivation for they.

Hallo to all. I don't know why ,i believe the dreamed new album will arrive because the new members joined the band.It would be a further motivation for they. Welcome Chea! Nice to have you here with us. Ian stated recently (see New Album thread in General Crossing) that he is planning the release of a new album in 2010. He was negotiating with EMI Music to release both the new album and the past albums that were released under the Fuel 2000 label. Ian did not state whether or not the new album would be a Jethro Tull album or a solo record. But you would think that EMI (and Ian) would be looking to get the most sales possible by using the Jethro Tull name. In any case, studio time is set aside for January & February, so let's hope we finally see some new material later in the year! Paul

Italy is my favorite country in Europe to visit because I love Roman history and there is so much great stuff to see there. I definitely agree with you. Who knows, maybe we'll even get two new studio albums, one Tull and one solo. That has been the pattern for the last fifteen years. But I guess I should't be so greedy. Jeff

Ian wrote this: This was recorded live and will be the subject of a CD release for charity in later months of this year.[/size] This is the set list according to the ministry site: Weathercock What Cheer? (St Bride's choir) Bible reading by Rev. George Pitcher A Christmas Song Living In These Hard Times Silent Night (St Bride's choir and congregation) 'Marmion: A Christmas Poem' (Sir Walter Scott) – read by Ian Anderson, accompanied by John O'Hara on keyboards Jack In The Green In the Bleak Midwinter (St Bride's choir) Another Christmas Song 'God's Grandeur' (Gerard Manley Hopkins) reading by Gavin Esler (TV journalist), accompanied by John O'Hara on keyboards O Come, All Ye Faithful (St Bride's choir and congregation) 'Ballad Of The Breadman' (Charles Causley) read by Mark Billingham (author) accompanied by Martin Barre on guitar A Winter Snowscape 'Christmas' (John Betjeman), read by Andrew Lincoln (actor), accompanied by John O'Hara on keyboards Fire At Midnight We Five Kings Gaudete – with the St. Bride's Church choir God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen – with the St. Bride's Church choir Thick As A Brick (IA solo acoustic) Not for anything, but I can't imagine Ian singing "your sperms in the gutter" in this setting.
