Okay, so earlier today I was speaking with Rob Scollo while walking to the subway. We were making plans for our weekend jaunt up to Albany with Paul and Dennis, to meet up with Dan, who being the generous bastard that he is, got all of us front row center tickets for Ian's show up there on Sunday night! I knew that Rob had traveled to Phoenix a few weeks ago, to catch the Homo Erraticus show with his brother, who lives in the area, and so I was asking him how he liked it, how the band was, how Ian's vocals were, etc. And then, forgetting that I was in public, I inquired about the set list. "Did you get the whole Homo?", I asked. Just at that moment, a nice-looking woman walked by and gave me a funny look. Jeff

Dan Rob enjoyed it, the vocals were as expected, and he thought the new album is pretty good. Pretty much the same way I feel. I still like Ian's music, I thought the last two albums were okay, I enjoy going to shows and socializing with Tull friends who I have known for years. But even though I will continue to buy the new records and see one or two shows each time around, and maybe an occasional road trip, I don't feel the same kind of magic or excitement that I used to. I think part of it is that as a grown-up with a heavy work load and grown up parental responsibilities, I don't have the same kind of time to listen to music, but the other part is simply that it is just not as great as it once was. How could it be, really? Jeff

Funny story Jeff.
Perhaps the answer is partaking in some devil's lettuce before the shows?
