Dan On the other hand, Ian Anderson would be a huge disappointment in Martin Barre's band. Dan Crisp's vocals have won me over on both Ian and Ryan O's recent efforts.

I see Martin is playing in Bonnie Scotland later in the year, I probably will go but I'm finding it hard to get motivated to go see Martin and his tribute band. Fine guitarist that he is, he lacks charisma as a band leader. To be fair they seem to be getting it together judging by recent videos and I agree the singer is pretty good.
On the other hand I'm done with Ian and his group of mannequins live. The thought of Ian croacking through another classic leaves me cold, as does Ryan "Phantom of the Opera" O'Donnell.
Like Gilmour & Waters the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
