When I moved to NYC in 1987 there were lots of great record stores and other shops in the Village which sold rock posters, tee-shirts and memorabilia, including a place called It's Only Rock and Roll on Eighth Street, long since gone (as well as all the other record stores like Bleecker Bobs, Second Coming, Revolver Records, Golden Disc, etc. - may they rest in peace.) Much of my modest Tull collection is from these kinds of places, including an entire press kit of the Passion Play tour consisting of hundreds of clippings, articles, photographs, press releases, promotional material and other stuff in a huge plastic jacket which I bought for only 30 bucks at It's Only Rock and Roll.
The most interesting items were several pages of handwritten tour expense logs from the APP tour written on a yellow legal pad, and some other handwritten notes, probably written by Ian, concerning expenses. In addition there were 17 typewritten pages, also recording every type of expense, right down to cups of coffee and other petty cash items. All of this, especially the typed pages, is of great interest, so I asked Paul to watermark it for the Board, which we don't normally do, but decided to in this instance because they are so unique. He did so, and emailed me the watermarked items back to me months ago. I'm only now getting off my lazy ass to post them, except I was unable to upload the 17 pages to Photobucket, because they were contained within in a zip file in a different format, so I'm still trying to figure out how to post them here, but in the meantime here are the handwritten pages:
