This site was brilliant well into the second decade of this century. That is, until Anderson blew up his band and started writing music for 15 year old boys in 1972 again. But there are no longer any boys living in 1972, Mr Anderson. You've done the nearly impossible: you have alienated your most committed fan base. This site is dead. Six posts in seven months.

Yes...Jyrki, The Jethro Tull Board is alive and well on Facebook, with three 'community' pages, that you can simply 'like' and a 'group' page you can join by sending a request. I have just done a lot of work over there to link all of our JTB pages and to promote discussion and posting,, and it is going rather well.
That's not to say that, at some point or another, our site here on Proboards won't be rejuvenated, because it probably will!
But, in the meantime, we'd love to have you, as one of our earliest members, join us over on our Facebook pages,
Cheers,
Jeff

Campion, I think you are right, in part, to say that the disbanding of Tull and everything that has happened since, including the horrible Rock Opera tour, has had a disheartening effect, but really the main reason that this site has been so dead, is the internal split that happened here a few years ago, unfortunately, which resulted in the departure of three or four admins, leaving Paul and I alone. The whole thing was due to a philosophical disagreement in what the purpose of the Board should be, and how it should be run. We always liked to play it for laughs - not to say that we didn't have a lot of serious discussions here, but there was always a healthy dose of irreverent humor. The other guys had a completely different, and far more serious, businesslike idea of where we should take The Jethro Tull Board, that we did not agree with. And so they left to do their own thing. The good news is that those friendships, which were seriously damaged at the time, have to some extent been repaired, and also that The Jethro Tull Board is alive and well on Facebook, with four separate, and extremely active pages, each with a slightly different approach to the subject matter. (See my post to Jyrki, below). You should join us over there! At some point, when I've got some more free time, I will try, once again, to revive our proboard site as well. I actually have taken a few stabs at it over the last year or two, but failed to follow up in any sort of consistent or meaningful way. I will try again soon! Thanks, by the way, for your description of our site as brilliant. We really did have a four or five year run where our flame burned very brightly indeed. I've always enjoyed your contributions to that success, as well! Jeff

So I'll just check this board now and then. I understand. Facebook is not for everyone. I'll tell you what....I am going to make a concerted effort to try to post at least one comment or item here every day. Maybe you and I, together with Greg and a few other stragglers, can revive this place! Jeff

Yes, and other things such as purchasing the copyrights of rare photographs, which they then contributed to EMI for use in the Steven Wilson releases, in exchange for receiving credit in the accompanying booklets.
