Use your creativity to complete the following sentence. There are no limitations in terms of number of words:
Tull is like..................
{Technically, the correct syntax probably would be "Tull are like....", but that sounds funny to my ears, so I went with "Tull is like....." instead.}

Nicely done, Derek. And it's very true. For me too, Tull has always been like....a port in the storm.

...an old best friend.
Someone that no matter how long you two have been away , can pick up right where you left off.
A friend, that after spending so much time together will inevitably have disagreements and disappointments but will always be associated with some of the best times of your life and a genuine fondness when you see (or hear) them again.
(P.S. I was going to say 'herpes' - something that you thought went away, but keeps coming back but I thought that was nicer.)
(P.S.S. I don't have herpes.)

They are like an old, somewhat decrepit friend who keeps returning and crashing on your couch, or maybe even like.....a spouse who pisses you off all the time, but deep down you still love them, and always will. Going to a Tull show is always like the first time a child visits Disneyland ... full of surprises & excitement. Haven't missed a tour since 1969 ... will travel for Tull shows!

Tull is like: the scent of sandalwood and spice and jasmine and lilies of the valley mysteriously drifting out across a cold, snow -covered, moon lit field with the sound of small silver bells on the harness of horse-drawn sleighs jingling in the distance and it's also tea and toast and the crackle of a peaty fire in the fireplace inside the cottage in the field, with slippers and a soft, fleecy throw and a cat on the lap while sitting in a warm, comfy chair and nearly napping.

I like this thread a lot, there's been several good ones here, but Blue wins! Jeff

Very lovely. Seems too that you are ready for Autumn. But to me, Tull is like the tomcat who had one minute of sex with the skunk. It wasn't all he wanted but it was all he could stand. But more to the point, Tull is like a family member. He was once the older brother, but now he is the uncle who shows up on holidays just to eat the food. He's selfish, sometimes annoying and a bit predictable, but on occasion you can still spot that twinkle in his eye that he had in his youth, and suddenly you remember why you love him.
