Each of us has had at least one person that we were successful in converting to Tull. Tell us your most successful proselytization story here. What methods did you use, and what was your subject's reaction? Did they remain Tull-ified, or did they eventually lose interest?

Why won't my wife truly open her heart to Tull? I mean what the fuck is wrong with her? I've tried so hard over the years to show her why it's so extraordinary, so superb, the music, the lyrics, the concerts....everything, really.... but she just doesn't seem to fully get it. Jeff

My wife, who plays the flute, used to love Tull. But as I've become more interested in learning the history of the band and getting more of the catalogue, she's become less interested. It doesn't have anything to do with the band; it has to do with me. She says she doesn't like that kind of obsessiveness in me. I think she doesn't like a rival for my attention.

hm. ive been trying to convert my sister and dad into Tull. My sister has already admitted it being "pretty good actually" so i just have to keep working on that and im sure to be succesfull... But every time i hype about tull and play their albums to my dad i just get this "meh" >8| ...for christ sake he listens classic rock and i managed to get him to love Megadeth but no Tull.

Heh, after a concert my wife said incredulously "that was actually good!" The live shows are a good way to make a convert!

Don't give up, Julia, you've already made some headway with your sister, but maybe you would have even better success with Dad -- and Sis too -- by emphasizing the acoustic material. If you'd like I can give you a surefire tracklisting of 80 minutes of acoustic Tull (including not just the ballads, but some of the rockier acoustic Tull) that can't miss! Jeff
