Chrysalis Sampler - Ten Prime Cuts. Offered as a 'limited 10 copies only' competition in the UK magazine SOUNDS. I was lucky enough to be one of the winners way back when. More can be seen at: www.theboyscoutmanual.com/galleries/?id=782

So has anyone heard the Chick Churchill (Ten Years After Hammond player) album You and Me? 1974 I think, I had never heard of it until recently, has many tracks with Martin Barre playing an electric guitar of all things. Of coarse John Wettons album featured him to bad effect but I remember admiring Churchills playing with TYA. I notice this Chrysalis 10 album has the title track on it. Darin

Erin,
That's what the blurb in 'Sounds' said, I suspect it probably got a wider release outside the UK beyond 10 copies. If anyone has seen it elsewhere I'd be keen to know. This particular version is mint and unplayed.
I've only ever seen one other copy, at a record fair many moons ago hanging up next to a copy of 'Who did it', so I expect it was reasonably pricey.

Pat Ahh! Well as a former record shop owner and Tull collector, I've never seen it before. The U.K. however maybe a different story. Cool item!

Darin Roger Hodgson from Supertramp also played on some of the songs. I've listened to this before and remember there wasn't too much prominant guitar on the album. Martn plays on 4 tunes but I wonder why he was even asked? Unless I missed something. One song credited with Martin sounded like it didn't even have guitar on it.

I have listened to 4 tracks on You Tube.........and I don't understand why they are there. Too be kind , what I heard was utterly unremarkable. I heard no Martin at all. It's very strange to hear the effort put forth by someone I know is a smoking hot Hammond player, and yet he doesn't understand that he is a terrible song writer. He mostly plays piano and there are some very clumsy synth parts that left me asking why? Too bad. I guess this wasn't an undiscovered gem......

A recent acquisition, Stand Up sans the 'Stand Up's'! Released on the Fontana label, presumably in South Africa, this is a quick snap, high res scans including labels will be added to the Boy Scout Manual within the week. www.theboyscoutmanual.com/galleries/?id=890
