Good Celtic-rock. I caught them over the summer in a pub in upstate New York. These guys are from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and do a great blend of classics and original material. A hear a little bit of the Pogues ,Dubliners, and Black 47 as influences. I hope they play at the annual Irish-American music festival in East Durham this year.
Wow, I haven't heard of them, but I know the others...I'll have to check them out. East Durham!!? Is that one at the Blackthorne? I've been wanting to go for years and never have been able to. One of these times. I have some friends that go...the whole area looks beautiful.
Yes, the Blackthorne is located in East Durham and it's a great place. Cops, firemen, bikers, construction workers, businesspeople etc. bring their families and they all gather together for pints and music. I caught Derek Warfield of the original Wolftones as well as Black 47 there last summer. I caught the Narrowbacks at Gavin's (down the road from Blackthorne's). You simply cannot go wrong with most of the pubs/resorts in East Durham. I recommend you go in May when they have the Irish Festival. It's awesome. You have two stages at the Michael Quill sports stadium cranking out live music all weekend but the really cool thing is that every single pub ups its game with top notch talent. It's Celtic music of ALL varieties until the wee wee hours. The Catskills may be dying in some spots but it thrives in East Durham!
I have never been to the Catskills, sounds like fun and the photos I see when friends go are fabulous. Is that the Memorial Day celebration that usually goes on at Blackthorne? Like, I said, heard all about it, never went. I think they have a feis (Irish dance competition) every year too. Some day I will go. I hope.
Yes, things get lively around Memorial Day weekend at the Blackthorne Resort. We usually go to the Blackthorne's Pub in the evening after the music shuts down at the festival down the road. Each place has its own little party. I haven't caught a feis while there but it's a good bet there's one somewhere close by. Good Stuff.
TM: Yes, his guitars in that song are great.

teddy: Seems like everyone trying to figure out " Eat Hermione for lunch" just don't get it. A Popular vegetarian line of food is advertised by a woman named Hermione. You can see the advertisement on line. Thus it is not oral sex with a office girl. Munch.

lclark354: Hello everyone. I recently finished a room addition, and can finally set up surround sound. I've purchased all the Tull sets, except, of course,TAAB. Is there a site where one can purchase & download the 5.1 files? Or, any word on a re-issue?

madjack1959: Hello to everyone from Lexington, Kentucky. Part of what led me here, was mention of Gentle Giant. I've listened to Tull for ages, and then was introduced to GG via Octopus I saw in the record store, and that was my start. I've never seen either "live" :
