I saw Tull in concert when I was living in Hamburg,Germany, back in 1981-The A concert-and 1982-Broadsword.The anecdote happened at the Broadsword concert.....I managed to follow the band to their hotel right behind the concert hall. There,Ian had the grace to sign my ticket......And PJ Vettese signed my HAT!!!!!Un old Stetson I was wearing.Only one thing.....I asked Martin about other members, and about John Glascock....I did not know he was dead.....oh dear....But Martin was VERY gracious and told my simply"He is dead".....ooooh noooo. I should have known,he died in 1979.....

The gaffe about John Glascock was understandable, since it was the pre-internet, pre-fanzine era of Tull, where information was not so easy to come by. Jeff

April of 93 Tull was in NYC to promote the 25th Aniv box set with a lunchtime concert at the Loan Star Roadhouse in midtown.I brought the box with me hoping to get some signatures.During the gig Ian mentioned he hadn't seen the finished product. The next thing I realized I was sitting back stage with Ian to my left and Doanne to my right and Ian looking and flipping the latch on the "cigar box" turning to me and saying"you know how much this cost to put on the box" (that still crack me up) My friend Mike was snapping pictures whileall this was taking place, the F ing pix didn't come out.Never the less a good story!

For sure! I think that was broadcast on WNEW and later turned into a boot. I know I recorded it at the time.

The show started at 12:00 noon, if I'm not mistaken, but I couldn't get out of the office before then, and when I jumped in a cab I got stuck in traffic, so I missed the first 15 minutes of that Lone Star Roadhouse show. The place doesn't exist anymore. I remember Matt Pegg with his really long hair, and almost didn't recognize him the other night with his short haircut. Jeff
