Been enjoying the Wild Turkey thread. He is a top guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him and Clive Bunker at Turkeys gig in Manchester when they were promoting their latest CD a few years ago. He was hospitable and very friendly. In the meantime stumbled upon this at you tube

Happy Birthday to Mr Cornick who reaches the grand age of 65 today! Happy Birthday, Glenn. Love your playing on Tull, especially on the first studio version of My God. I've come down from the skies, To Cry You a Song.

Happy Birthday, Glenn!
Congrats and here's to hoping you have many more, as many as you can tolerate. I think you were the best Tull bassist, or perhaps it's a tie with John Glascock. Your thundering lines practically made the heavy tunes on Stand Up.
Cheers!

Jesus Jim! Have you met every member of Jethro Tull? And wasn't it Glenn who got the purple mohawk?

Jesus Jim! Have you met every member of Jethro Tull? And wasn't it Glenn who got the purple mohawk? Not yet. I still want to meet Mick Abrahams, Clive Bunker, Barriemore Barlow, Jeffrey Hammond, Tony Williams, Don Airey, Martin Allcock, Paul Burgess, Gerry Conway, David Mattacks, Peter-John Vettese, David Palmer, Tony Iommi, and Ryan O'Donnell. And of course the members of New Day. I don't recall Glenn having a mohawk.

I still have to meet uhm.. all of them. Also, check issue 96 of A New Day and you will find Mr. Cornick does have a mohawk. ;D

Awesome picture, Jim. Glad to see Glenn has ignored the ridiculous change in popular fashion and still sports long hair and a bandana.
Respect deserved and given for and to both of you.
I still have yet to meet and photograph with Glenn, and the restraining order doesn't help.

There ya' go. And when I was searching for that picture look what else I found. Jim always comes out well in photos.

There's a really good photo of the mohawk in A New Day magazine, but I can't find it on the internet anywhere.

I was just admiring Glenn Cornick's bass line on "Inside" while Benefit was under the needle earlier today--Beautiful afternoon.
