Okay, so we have a workable framework for the lyrics to A Change of Horses, and a possible interpretation. Now we have to get cracking on the lyrics to Tea with the Princess. Dan, this seems to be your province, so what say you lead off! Jeff P.S. Why have we been giving this one short shrift? I'm listening to it now and it's pretty damn good. (Our esteemed Steelie said he liked it even better than Change of Horses, which prompted me to give it another listen and you know what....they're both great!)

I have a bit of a problem with the vocals on this one. But it's probably nothing a good studio version wouldn't fix. Does any else get the feeling it could have made it on to Fiddler on the Roof.

I seem to be having a hard time deciphering the lyrics and can use any input /corrections/suggestions you may have. Always funny to see how far off I was when the actual lyrics come out. Tea With The Princess Pride of a father , (ride with the father?) harvest to gather, bounty where the credits due. Born of (flashing?) fingers, melody that lingers..long after the music fades to blue. Playful and innocent, reminds you of Paris, walking in the rain ; along the Stain. She bears a (torch-ed carrier?), ( ? pearls?) in a basket , (messages?) in a strange brew. Would you like to take, Tea With The Princess? Would you like to bathe in a rose bud smile? Table (graces?), a hint of incense, a sad/glad feeling and gentle (?) Oh, I would take, Tea With The Princess! A cup of kindness and rest for a while. Would you like to take, Tea With The Princess? Would you warm old bones in the evening sun? Table (airs of graces?) , a hint of incense, steal a cup of kindness -when the day is done. (Repeat first verse).......closing the circle back to you. Tea With The Princess.

Good job on the lyrics to both new songs, Dan. I will give them another listen and see if I can fill in any missing pieces to the puzzle. Now, if only we had heard the third new song......A Child in My Garden. Too bad that was dropped early on.

Jeff I can't believe that I'm actually going say to this but..I might like the song even better as a *gasp* ...instrumental.
