A long time ago there were things you could buy on VHS, Beta tapes and 12" laser discs. "Slipstream" was the first Jethro Tull video which I bought back in the day and made me very confused. I was thrilled by the live performance and video special effects which seemed to elevate Tull to a new level. However, the awkward video clips were sprinkled in to give it a MTV playability. Even David Letterman showed a short clip from the Aqualung cut that made me wonder why not more live footage. I enjoyed most of it since there was no other Tull video available. This promo advertisement made by Chrysalis seemed to link Tull with New Wave star Blondie. While sitting in the waiting room for a doctor visit, I found this review which seemed to confirm some of my angst. If anyone reads this they may enjoy the honesty of this critic on what occasionally turns into a record company promo tour. I'm still waiting for a full length unpolished concert video done the way I would prefer. Tull in the Raw! It's okay Ian, you looked great as Dracula, but stick with the live performance. Just to keep it real, here is the T.V. listing from 1982 with Ian on David Letterman at 12:30 a.m. Also during that same hour, you could watch Jim Bakker of the P.T.L.(Praise The Lord) show or Benny Hill. Now which show would you watch? Answer right here :

Cool. Of note: 2004 available as a bonus DVD with the A album remaster.

I have it as well. Pretty good. Tell your mother that you walked all night on velvet green.

I've always been meaning to get around to buying the A/Slipstream package. I love the A album, and I love what I've seen of the DVD footage, even though it's outdated, low-budget, etc. That's usually what I like about the more interested "music videos". Gloss and perfection have grown dull, especially with how far CGI has come.
