They missed a couple great ones. "Trains" by Steven Wilson's Porcupine Tree is an amazing tune. Kinda Porcupine Tree's "Aqualung". He uses a capo on the 5th fret of the acoustic guitar on this song which he admits he got from "trying to play Jethro Tull tunes" (mother goose is one that's capoed at the 5th)
and of course...

Tulltapes, really awesome the Porcupine's train song and so the Anderson's is, both of them would deserve a better consideration on these unfair lists. Some years ago a friend opened a thread, in another site, about the same stuff proposing songs about trains and you couldn't figure how many and good there are. This list I've put is just one more anecdote. Thanks for your proposed songs. I thought every user of this board would send yours own one.

Here is one of the most iconic train songs of all time, and a fascinating video of Hendrix. Several of the other songs listed don't hold a candle to the soulful playing found here:
Imagine, a guitarist of Hendrix's stature worried about his playing!

Another great train song unethically missed. Thanks morthoron for this one and taking part on this Your blog about other lists is very special, I like it a lot. I could be wrong but the Aerosmith's one, Train kept A'rollin', rated on the second place of that related list, is very familiar for me, watch and listen to this one which gleamed in the Antonioni's very well-known film, Blow-up. Check Jeff Beck's angry moment out ;D

I love those sixties keyboards and it makes me a little high while hearing this at 6:30 a.m. Nice song to mellow down easy with. ;D

It couldn't be left on this musical list the traditional about trains song: "Mystery Train", here played magistrally by Legion of Mary, band then leaded by Jerry Garcia. IMO, an amazing one always with the Grateful Dead landmark I wish you all a really good listen, a nice weekend not forgetting the special moment of truth www.beercans.nl/Gallons02/index.html ;D , and of course the Tull's turn. Other train songs suggestions will be also very appreciated.

What about this one? probably one of the best known. I put a recent version because the picture quality is much better on this one.

It's a perfect one, macdaigh, however this great song was already included on the list issued by the website link I added above on this thread, more exactly at a ninth place. Check it out!, nevertheless thanks for taking part. Today a strong song about trains. George Thorogood - Gone Dead Train. (bad tube sound quality ) Whereas this Nazareth's version has a great sound quality though I liked much more the George's one. Enjoy.

Oops, sorry, didn't check the list. Well, this one isn't on it ;D No, it isn't, good find macdaigh. This is a mind-blowing Monkee's cover song of Last Train To Clarksville played by The Danmation Of Adam Blessing.
