Tullsters, Just felt the need to share this experience, my first with Tull. I returned to East Carolina University in November 1971 to hang with my counterculture friends and attend homecoming. Of course, my Nikon made the trip with me. After the football game, (ECU's great running back Carlester Crumpler actually ran in the wrong direction on one play) we hung out in front of Minges coliseum awaiting the opening of the doors to attend the homecoming concert, Jethro Tull. The date was 11/07/1971. I'd heard of the band but had not listened to their music. In preparation for the show, our group rolled some bummers. Not only was this my first Tull experience, it was also my first experience with Mary Jane from Columbia, South America. Our group was so blown away (this may be my favorite expression) by both the music and our Latin American spice girl, we couldn't manage to remove ourselves from our seats. For the life of me I'm surprised I was able to capture any pics. Check out the photo, Ian seems to approve of Martin's solo work. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Cross-Eyed Mary Jane from South America. Her favour's are good and strong.

Seeing Jeffrey in the zebra suit reminded me that I have a shot of him from the Aqualung concert at ECU 11/'71. Another of Ian as well. Just scanned both slides... Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us

Memories like these are worth having Ted. Sometimes I wish I was younger until I realize how much I would have missed. Life is a long Tull song.

Life is a long Tull song. while at times you may wish you were younger, im wishin i was older so i woulda had a change to experience shit like this 8P .....being young now may have its benefits but perhaps i was born on the wrong decade (huh, i dont even dare to think what this world will be like when i reach the "oldness")
