WARNING HIGHSCHOOL ART PROJECT!!! heheh, I came across this recently in the deep recesses. The pencil drawing I did for an etching project in 72/73 (Senior year) in high school. The etching actually won some ribbons around town aaaand one of the prints made its way to the International Hotel in LA on the last night of the APP stop in LA. I gave it to the projectionist, Bill Cardinell, the guy showing the "Hare...." during the concert. He assured me he would get it to Ian.....   and the artists proof, the last print. Still have the zinc plate. Working on etchings were a little more difficult to manipulate than pencil, so likenesses got a little funky.  Darin Cody |

 Well here's something with some new life. Created in 72/73 after TAAB....pulled out dusted off, scanned and titled in 2012 before TAAB 2. I'm wondering if it should say Ian Anderson instead of JT?. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. I'm going to print one up and get Ian's signature on it in October, I might print the 75 drawing I delivered to him back then also with the same intention and see if he remembers me......haha!! (I haven't really changed much!)  Darin |

If you want Ian to sign this, I would suggest : "Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson".
You are right. You haven't changed much. You are still a Great Artist, Musician and Tull Fan. |

2nd version has a vey psychedelic feel to it. Great highschool project.
