Here's a video I put together months ago, for The Jethro Tull Board's youtube channel. The sound was disabled because of restrictions, which, happily, now appear to have been lifted. I was pleasantly surprised upon visiting our channel that this is now playable!
It's Richard Thompson and "The Fairport Rhythm Section" (including Daves Pegg and Mattacks) accompanying medieval music composer Philip Pickett on two beautiful instrumentals, on which you will find lots of recorder, lute, harpsichord, fortepiano, violin, etc., and a healthy sprinkling of Richard Thompson's trademark guitar.
There are two pieces here, so after the first one, keep listening....there is a two or three second pause before the second one begins.
Pickett sure gets a lot out of such a simple instrument as the recorder.
