Does anybody know if there is or has decent footage of the girl jumping through the mirror at the end passion play?

Does anybody know if there is or has decent footage of the girl jumping through the mirror at the end passion play? Good Question. There is footage of the intro which I remember as the Dot is morphed into the Dead Ballerina. At the point she is dancing she crashes through the mirror and the show begins. I hope there is a high quality film of this in Ian's house. I would expect this to surface next year. A great film by Tulltapes: Part 1

A great film by Tulltapes: Part 1 Yes (for now) this is the only existing footage of the ballerina. Although i'm sure there are several reels of film from these shows sitting in closets somewhere waiting to be discovered, or tossed in the garbage

The long promised interview with Jane will still be gong ahead, it had to be postponed following my wife's illness last year. I suspect the film languishes in an attic or barn somewhere and it would be good to see it once again. It was also used in a TV advert in the UK for the album, albeit in a much shortened version, consisting mainly of the leap 'through the looking glass' (A touch , Alice?) and as far as I can remember concluded with a gruff faked American voice over stating "Jethro Tull - One of the heavies".

Now this sounds like something I haven't seen? I don't know about film used in a TV advert? Is this something you maybe saw at the time and never again? Anyone have any other info about A ballerina jumping through the glass video other than the 8mm audience film?

The TV ad was shown at he time of the release of the album, not sure if it was shown nationally but it was definitely shown on the London region independent networks, at that time they would have been Thames (broadcast Monday to 6.00 pm on Friday) and London Weekend Television (LWT broadcast obviously at weekends.) I saw it at least three times but never managed to record it, it contained the still image from the back cover and I'm sure (but it was a long time ago) the moving image of the ballerina going through the glass. I've been searching for it for years. It was broadcast as I remember others at school saying they saw it.

I'm curious to see if the high speed (ultra slow) ballerina rising is part of the standing turn and then running leap through the mirror that does not break. Then there's the next bit of film at the end of the Passion Play, when she attempts to come back through the mirror and it shatters ........ Wow, Thanks for that news Pat!! Darin
