In the midst of a blissful night sleep, I dreamed of a Jethro Tull performance like non other. I was with my friend watching the awe-inspiring Ian Anderson sing Broadford Bazaar and singing along to it when he looked up at me, and I smiled back to him. The music stopped and the crowd was quiet. Ian came to me, and I asked him what seemed like an average amount of questions, but he appeared annoyed. I followed him backstage and continued asking... The only response I vividly remember was him telling me that he was allergic to peanut butter but liked the imitation kind; he said he didn't like almond butter because it felt too big in his mouth. On and on, my questioning continued- unitl he asked me to leave him alone. I did not like this idea and so I threw him on the fire and ate his ribs. They were quite tasty and I can still feel the flesh on my teeth. I get a little shiver every now and again, remembering how human he tasted. Remember... this was only a dream.

Yikes!
Creepy, but interesting.
If Ian ever reads these boards, he now has all the proof he needs that we fans are a bunch of whackjobs! Haha.
Then again, the lyrics of "Paradise Steakhouse" come to mind (and no, I'm not really sure what they mean, though I've got ideas). So maybe we're not alone.
I have similarly loony dreams, of course. They're seldom Tull-related, but you never know when something like that will crop up.

What The Mouse Police has done is really a difficult task, firstly to recall the dream the best one can and secondly to write it down so well here to be read on a forum by the rest of mortals. This experience is not new for me, before joining this Tull Board I was an intense user on another music subject forum during at least 5 years www.dtodo1poco.com/musica/index.php . There I learnt a lot about music and much more other subjects from about 2005 to 2010, years as I was still there flirting and tossing around ;D . Well, one of the threads(created by the maddest user I've so far met on the net and whose nickname was Meurglys ) was called "introducción a la psiconeurosis inducida", a weird name indeed, ha ha, and it was about to recall and writting, the best you can, for the forum your last dream or your weirdest morpheus encounter ;D you've ever undergone . Many surprises one can from now read like The Mouse Police one induced us with, btw a really eccentric, odd or amazing to say such a thing. Therefore I thing this thread is a perfect way to start with on this incomparable forum. Come on, let your mind stream, think of it rightly, retain the thing and tell us your dream the best you can writting it down here , whatever weird is, don't mind, the experience is for sure going to be exciting as you'll go through it. Try it! "INTRODUCCION A LA PSICONEUROSIS INDUCIDA"

That's a fabulous idea! It would be especially interesting to post Jethro Tull themed dreams.. although I'm sure they are a rare occurrence.

Thanks for supporting in my thought, I'm quite sure some replies will come and all enjoy the reading. I have to admit it's not an easy work, recalling the dreams and much more difficult putting here in words, it's a complete skill purpose. Nonetheless we just conform with modest writings, we just wish to know how odd your dreams are or were, don't think twice and let us know them, not afraid of it my dear Tullian fellow. Who knows! It might be the next American Dream that will save our World far from new Wars . ;D I've said. Sleep and Dream

Wish I had some Tull dreams to post. It is a great idea. Meeting Ian in the shadowlands must be a fun thing indeed. Even if you do end up eating him

Well, the fact that you are discussing the idea will probably increase the chances of it happening!

I have had a load of Tull/Ian dreams. lol. The last one I was up on stage with him to help play some instrument (which I don't recall). I just remember when it came to my part I couldn't play! Sorry, if that's not very exciting, but there was no one getting eaten in mine!

Great thread! It's interesting and very amusing! I've had a recurring dream about Tull about half a dozen times. I'm on stage with them as the house lights go down before a concert, and I'm standing behind the keyboards, in full panic-mode because I do not play any instruments! AAAAAAAH!!!!! How did I get here??

Dream: I was on the lawn at my parents in 76 or so. I was facing the street and Ian was getting into an old black non descript sedan, parked at the curb, it was flat black, like an old volvo. As though he'd been at the house and was leaving (Just like always lol). He stopped after opening the drivers side door and leaned on the roof of the car looking at me and said "It's all about the white duck......between the spaces, you know." then here got in a putted away. That was it. And it was too damn real lol. Darin Cody

A recurring dream I have is hearing the long-awaited brand new Jethro Tull album (which of course is not a reality). So there I am in a dream state hearing this new music and lyrics that have not actually been made.
It's pretty cool actually. I'll have to try and wake myself up and write down what I can remember!

Martin opens the door, and I stumble into Florian sending him inside the locker!

Great question!
Actually, Martin and I arrive at the gig together and spot Florian with his back turned to us over by a row of lockers. Martin opens the door, and I stumble into Florian sending him inside the locker! I never stumble in my dreams. Only if I drink too much. Please Paul, don't stumble around on Friday Night. Know your limit.

Sometimes I have nightmares about Jethro Tull's Under Wraps album... I think Under Wraps album with other arrangements would not be so bad (arranged by Palmer, for example)

You're right mouse police (I have yet to learn your name) it is distinctly different from the Tull sound, even though the "Tull sound" is incredibly diverse. But I think the album was incredibly creative and true to their artistic endeavors, I have always liked it even though I have listened to it the least of all their studio projects. It leaves me satisfied.

My name is Angela.
'A' leaves me pretty satisfied as well, The Pine Marten's Jig is insanity... I find I can really relate to it.
