Hi, TAAB tribute band singer here, with a request for help. We recently rehearsed 'Song For Jeffrey' and I couldn't find the correct lyrics - the versions on the interwebs are mostly wrong. The line in question is the third line of the verse: 'Gonna lose my way tomorrow/Gonna give away my car/ ' There is a very good live version here: Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Cheers, Dirk

Thanks for the reply!
But I am pretty sure that the third line is *not* "I'd take you along with me" and I am also very sure that the refrain is "I've ceased to see where I am going" instead.

As well as the original Palmyra book there is also the very nice online lyric resource from Stormwacth Steve Jeal It is the most up-to-date version of the complete lyrics, has been approved by Ian and can be found at issuu.com/stormwatch/docs/tull_lyrics_2013Page 11 sets out the lyrics to 'Song for Jeffrey'. I also think the sung version does sound like "I've ceased to see where I'm going'

Great link, indeed!
Unfortunately it states "I'd take you all along with me" which is not what he sings if you ask me.

I used to think he was saying he was going to give away his gun. I have super bad hearing though.

Haha - now that you say it, I hear it also! :-)
But only in the second line, though. The third line ... meh.
