I also like the excitement that builds before the start of the show. Of course it's not the same as the old days, when the thrill of seeing Ian taking the stage made the hairs on the back of your neck stick up, but it's still pretty good. One thing I would like to do is take another Tull tour of England and Scotland like I did in 1993 with a bunch of Tull fans, but that probably won't happen this year, as I already have three New York/New Jersey shows lined up for June. wow fatman thats brill !!, i have never seen tull outside uk ( to be honest just never been able to afford the cost !! ) ive traveled alover uk to see them but it would be my dream trip to see them in the usa its always been an ambition of mine to visit the usa , i had a chance once when my wife ( before we got married said ) where for the honeymoon ? i said tulls on in usa , she said ohh its to dangerous , to many shootins etc ( she watches to many die hard films !! ) so we ended up in egypt !! i dont think tull have ever played egypt ? so that was that and never got there. but mark my words , one day i will with or without her i will see tull in the usa but suppose i better make it quick !! lol. you would always be wellcome to stay over at our house when you make it to uk . scotland is about a 2 hour drive from here depending on whereabouts could be a little more, but most tull fans are wellcome ive only met one that would not be , but thats for another time he was from usa and caused me a lot of trouble. if you want to know the story email me . cheers.

My days of the road trips are over I wont travel more than 100 miles to see them anymore, I guess Ive gotten old and lazy. Tull is the only band I see in concert now. When I was younger saw a lot of great shows, but I will say this NONE of them could even come close to Tull show.

Maybe you're not as old and lazy as you think! Jeff

long tull road trips for me = preston (home) to fareham ( ians 1st rubbin ellbows show) =500miles round trip, preston to saisbury acoustic tull show =600ish miles round trip, preston to edinburgh (scotland) = 400 ish miles round trip all the others have been farely local and just a train ride away edinburgh in scotland was the most expensive show because we had to stay 2 nights in a b&b from just outside edinburgh catch a train etc.it cost us around £400+ !! my wife says she wouldent do it again so anymore road trips is just me & my cd player !!

Yeah....my tull-potence has lagged of late...I used to plan international vactions based on Tull's touring schedule...and this last ian tour i only saw 2 out of about 8 concerts that were in california alone...not to mention, easy to reach and populated with friend places like portland, seattle and denver. I didn't go to Sta Rosa, an hour away from my home...after 2 nites at nearer venues.....I guess as long as I keep my commitment to at least one gig per tour, I'm not completely lazy....this next tour might be tricky if the don't come closer than Illinois!
