Tullite, it's nice to see such an explosion of posts from a newbie! The more active contributors like you, the better this site will be. I will try to keep up with you the best I can. When LWTP was released about seven or eight years ago, I remember that during one of the interview snippets Ian said he could see Tull going on for ten more years. He was 55 at the time, so that would mean up until he's 65. But recently I saw that he revised that upwards to 69, remarking that there's no way he'd still be trotting out in tights and doing Aqualung at age 70. But I think even after Tull ceases to exist, Ian will still be performing in one way or another, as a solo artist or with other musicians. It's in his blood. Jeff

hi again , sorry if i am " explosive " but i am a passionate tull fan !! you really dont know what it means to me to explode my feelings about tull ive been without a propper site since the " official site "" shut down the chat rooms !! and if you saw my tull stuff ( not braggin ) but ive collected a lot over 40+ years ( my wife thinks i am mad !! lol ) i am 53 yrs of age and for 40+ years have been following tull , ok i like various other bands mainly ones that were around in the early days of " rock " ive seen led zep, black sabbath, elp, procul harem, ( just missed the beatles !! ) they were on at my local public hall but i was to young at that time , seen the sex pistols to, but nothin that matches tull for longevity !!! i just cant imagine ( john lennon song ! ) life when tull are finished, so i suppose i am lettin off my steam here !!. i will try and let off less steam as time goes by but for now i am enjoying it otherwise my wife has to listen to it LOL. lets face it ian is gettin older like us all and the time will come when enough is enough but it will be a sad day for all of us and all we will have is those precious memories of the few moments we saw them " live " we have to treasure them , they are a national treasure and still in my opinion under rated.

I agree that each Tull tour should be CHER-rished...as if it's the last...but unlike Cher...I don't think Ian will do annual farewell tours....when he's had enough, it will end....and that will be that...so err on the side of caution and see as many gigs as possible.

Good post, but unfortunately we've all gotten a taste what life is like without a new Tull studio album for way too long.

I always thought when Ian is unable to run around on stage, and sing anymore, he should attempt more instrumental folkish music (silly fantasy, I know), since we all know that one thing Ian definitely still has is musical talent with instruments.
