THE frontman of British rock band Jethro Tull raised £15,000 with a Christmas concert. Some 900 people attended the concert, by Ian Anderson, in aid of Exeter Cathedral's Third Millennium Fund. Mr Anderson performed a range of Jethro Tull hits including Jack in the Green and Aqualung. These were mixed with jazz-inspired jamming and individual performances. He was joined by a band made up of Jethro Tull regulars and guest musicians. The Third Millennium campaign is roughly half way to its £8 million target. The money is needed to secure the future of the cathedral music, improve facilities for visitors and give better access to the treasures of the library for scholars and members of the public. www.thisisexeter.co.uk/features/Tull-frontman-raises-163-15-000/article-1650351-detail/article.html

I notice that every time Ian decides to make beneficence he centers the target and his audience answer well. Long life to Ian and the band members.
