Aside from Molly Bloom, I hadn't heard of any of those bands....great finds, and thanks for those vids, Preston! I've certainly got my listening cut out for me, but I've already sampled some Solaris, Project Trio, Molly Bloom and Trillian Green (what a great Tullish name that is), and I like a lot of it, although I'm not crazy about some of the heavy metal vocal aspects of some of it. I liked Solaris and Project Trio, and thought that former Trillian Green flutist Ben Klein was heavily influenced by Roland Kirk, and that the rest of these guys were without question greatly influenced by Ian and Tull!

Thanks Jeff for the comments .There are plenty more bands which feature the flute which refute Ians claims to be the only band apart from Focus
Check out Asia Minor loads of flute with iffy vocals not the best flute track but still pretty neat
