In 1989, the United States Army used blaringly loud music as a form of torture to flush Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega out of hiding. The musical menu consisted of 95 songs, with TOTRNR occupying #80 on that list. Most of the songs have to do with death, dying or running out of time and/or luck, and are very tongue in cheek, and then there are some patriotic anthems as well, and as you will see from the list, Tull were (mostly) in excellent company: darrengarnick.wordpress.com/2009/10/28/gitmo-boombox-music/And, according to a blog called Mental Floss, the U.S. Army more recently used these six "annoying" songs to aid in their interrogations of enemy combatants captured in Afghanistan and Iraq: 'Born in the USA' (Bruce Springsteen, sorry Max ); 'Dirrrty' (Christina Aguilera); 'These Boots Were Made for Walking' (Nancy Sinatra - that one was definitely torture); 'Hell's Bells' (AC/DC); 'Anything' (Barry Manilow); and 'I Love You' by Barney the Dinosaur! www.mentalfloss.com/blogs//archives/27123Jon, a Mentull Floss blogger, responds with this wry observation: "When trying to get Manuel Noriega out of his compound, the US forces used a number of songs, including Jethro Tull’s “Too Old To Rock ‘n’ Roll: Too Young To Die”. As a Tull fan, I’ve never been sure whether to feel that my favourite band has been insulted or complimented!" Jeff

I'm not too sure either, but all I know is "I love you" by Barney would get me to spill my guts!
