Time to start listening to some other music here, by artists who can actually sing. Like this guy, formerly of the band Grant Lee Buffalo. Beautiful acoustic songs, unbelievable voice: Rock of Ages Honey Don't Think www.youtube.com/watch#!v=CXUU7Idobl8&feature=relatedJeff

I can't say enough about the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Grant Lee Phillips and his band, Grant Lee Buffalo, who are currently doing a reunion tour and will be playing a show at Royal Festival Hall in London on May 18th. I've seen GLB only once, but I also saw his solo show twice, and he's a very likeable performer. Unfortunately, I missed the reunion show in NYC back in February, but I think they are due to return here later this year.
The band put out four albums in the nineties, and he's done five or six solo albums since then. No two of his albums are alike, and it's a great mix of acoustic and electric material, plus he's a great guitarist, vocalist and lyricist. I think a lot of folks here will really like these songs.
Pat, I don't know if you're familiar with this guy, but if you like this sampling, you may want to catch this show in London next month.
Here are some of my favorites, but there are many more, including a couple of others I posted earlier in this thread:

From the recent Grant Lee Buffalo reunion tour, these videos are from Belgium, I think, excellent sound on all of them. Grant Lee Phillips is a brilliant, critically-acclaimed American singer/songwriter, with an amazing voice, who recently reunited with his former band for this European tour, which is coming to the U.S. next month.
Bethlehem Steel - This is a beautiful song that intensifies as it goes. This is a just a great song!
Sing Along, from the album Mighty Joe Moon, my favorite Grant Lee Buffalo album:
America Snoring:
Their most well-known song, Mockingbirds, which was a radio hit in the nineties. The video starts off a little dark, but the floodlight comes on at the 45 second mark.
