The official Tull website list a new UK date at South Shields Gypsies Green Stadium on Friday September 17th as part of The Great North Run [half marathon]. The GNR is scheduled for the 19th, maybe Martin has booked his place already Gypsies Green Staduium may not be all it sounds, but this image may pre-date a proposed hotel redevelopment which was mooted on the site back in 2007, and so it may be a little grander these days.....but then again it may not. No ticket details as of yet on the official Tull site nor are there any on the GNR site or the sponsor's site BUPA

But I'm told that whilst the gig has been announced on the official Tull website, the event is still not confimed at South Shields' end. I'm told that there are still a couple of "legal matters" that need to be sorted out. However, I am also told by an 'events' spokesperson that if the tickets go on sale they will probably be available via the Customs House - South Shields' Arts Centre .

What sort of running? A track usually means short distance (at least here in the US) which generally doesn't attract marathon runners. (My ex brother does marathons).

It's a non-track event and does involve thousands of entrants

Thanks, Quiz. Some days, I have problems with things like 1 plus 1 ..... obviously if it is called the Great North Run, it would be a major attraction. Duh. Hey, do we have any members who have done any runs or marathon "with" Martin, so to speak. Same place and time?

Hi everyone re the run this is the location next to the finish line - the run is from Newcastle to South Shields and is 13 miles very popular with around 50,000 people taking part!
As far as the concert goes the tickets are available from the customs house as Quizzkid said according to a facebook page from 26th May at £27.50
