These are from the April 18th show in Stockholm, Sweden, the most recent Jethro Tull show to date.
So what does everything think?
Newbies, what are your impressions? We'd love to hear from you!
And this one is from the previous night, Aptil 17th, in Gothenburg:
To me, the band sounds good on all of these and Ian's singing is good enough to make for a decent Tull show. The vocals, at least for these two shows, are a vast improvement compared to the UK leg of the tour in March, and really not half-bad at all, especially on Locomotive Breath. Lord knows, we've all heard far worse.

They sound damn healthy in a 62 year old kind of way. I hear less difference vis a vis the English dates, particularly as that tour got past its opening dates when Ian had some kind of viral throat infection, I know the one I had this winter went on for about 5 weeks. I think much of the shock and horror was down to what seemed to me a different reading of SFTW which after a few listens, (more than I as of yet have given Hare in a Winecup which I fully expect to at least like)I like in a disjointed Thelonious Monk sort of way. Very definitely do not think he is doing it for the money now or ever, too many things in his past to dispel that notion, I could but won't bore with details. Control freak? I suppose though I might search for a less disparaging term. As a result of this behavior (which I would happily change to where a tours setist maybe were chosen from a hat) we have a Tull to celebrate in 2010, 42 years after it left port.
