A blazing-hot Nothing is Easy, from Vienna (Austria, not Virginia) on July 2, 2010:
The comely Julia Petrova, our friend here on the board, attended the Vienna show, and posted this on youtube:

A FB friend from Norway raves about the August 22, 2010 Oslo show, and provides this set list, substantially different from the U.S. tour in June. Thanks, Roberto! Jeff

Correct set-list for the August 22 Oslo concert: Eurology Life is a long song Skating away... Nothing is easy A new day yesterday Thick as a brick We used to know / With you there... Songs from the wood Bouree INTERMISSION 1000 mothers Hare in the wine cup A change of horses Budapest Instrumental My God Aqualung Locomotive breath There were 4 concerts in Norway. I think the set-list differed a little from place to place. I was to the Olso concert only. The "black on white" "setlist Norway August 2010" is from the concert in Bergen, I think. I have seen it elsewhere. I used this setlist as a help when making my own set list. It was too dark to write anything and then my pen dried out. But my setlist should be correct from the songs l did write down in the beginning and from my memory of the rest. Anyway, it was good to relax and enjoy the show and forget about the setlist... A very good concert, makes it a good memory if it happens to be my final. My favourites: Hare in the wine cup A change of horses which were very well received by the rest of the audience too. Some people crazy dancing during the concert, and a very good audience it was. Just an idea I got... If Ian Anderson doesn't want make any more studio albums...why not play a few different new songs live here and there, record them live and release a live album of new stuff.

Good suggestion. However, let's make Ian put out a new studio disc anyway. A million generations removed from expectations

Studio album please. I must admit that I'm not a big fan of the live album. Studio sound preferred here.
And who would steal the candy from a laughing baby's mouth if he could take it from the money man.

Glad you enjoyed the show, Geir, but I hope it's not your last Tull show!

I would prefer a studio album as well. The Tull live discs are great too! Have you seen jack in the green, With his long tail hanging down, He quietly sits under every tree, Signals the snow drops it's time to fall.

Well, I saw Him in the city and on the mountains of the moon -

I guess I like Live at Montreux a little better, but not by much. The version of My God is the clencher I suppose. And the graven image you know who.

Hi to All. I esitated much to send these picture because are a part of a not very pleasant experience. It happened at the last August J.T show in Zofingen, Switzerland. Nothing serious, anyway. I arrived early afternoon at the area. There NOBODY there, only few people engaged to prepare the ground, the chairs, ecc.It was open and at this point I hear the ceck sound was beginning. Great and exciting, I though. I approached the stage where all the members of the group were gathered to try the instruments. Ian was singing ( Life is a Long Song ) and I was about 15 metres far taking some few photos. ( With the telephone camera ).At this point, suddenly Ian stopped, looked the sky and with loud voice told me to go away, I was disturbing making loose theyr concentration...as you will see in the first picture I've sent. I am very afraid to say he was very angry that moment. The two following ones were taken during the show. He was right, while it was very hot, they were working, I was'nt in the right place, but......I apoligize for this, anyway. The show in the evening was very good, as usual. A bit short because the boys were the main guests in Zofingen Festival, only 9 pieces. After about 40 J.T shows I could never imagine one day to disturb them...M. picasaweb.google.com/107698722754803407323/Zofingen118?feat=directlink#

Michele, That certainly looks like a 'stern' pose from Ian and I don't think anyone would want to be on an unexpected telling off from the headmaster. I know that soundchecks can be stressful times for some musicians, and I suppose when you are wary of an unkown person lingering aorund with a camera, you could become even more stressed, though probably not as stressed as you might have been afterwards! Are you going to the Bergamo, Bolzano or Vicenza gigs? If you are we'd love to hear your review of the show. Pat

But, that day I acted very carefully. 1) I know very well Ian, after all these years. 2)I was not so close to them. 3)Everything happened in very few seconds from when I arrived. I've found this a bit exagerated, only this. But there is no problem, I was the one in a wrong place, that moment.... Yes, I' m going to see the Vicenza's show next friday and I will tell you all about the show.
