Bubble Bath, from Israel, is a new tribute band featuring Marcie's husband Paul Forrest, a member of The Jethro Tull Board and the former lead singer of one of the world's leading Tull tribute bands, the Dayglo Pirates. Bubble Bath is not strictly a Tull Tribute band -- they play a lot of Tull, obviously, but also other classic and prog rock bands including, I believe Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant, Steve Hackett --- you get the idea. Still, you will not hear better cover versions of Minstrel in the Gallery and Thick as a Brick than those the Bubblers played the other night in Tel Aviv. Complete with spot-on vocals, facial expressions, mannerisms, antics, stage dancing, etc. Paul really nails the younger Ian to a tee. And to think he was fighting a cold that night....that strict vegan diet has obviously left his defenses down! Jeff

Thanks for posting this, Jeff. What was most endearing (particularly with the Thick as a Brick video) was that everyone was singing along. It was great!

This I like too. I enjoy the singer who puts in alot of Ian's signature moves and expressions. It must be fun to recreate Tull in such a complex way. Most bands try to sound close and lack the charisma. This has both. Uploaded with ImageShack.usOne more critique: I worked for many years as a light technician to many nightclub bands.(lightman) I never used any high tech lighting other than strobes, stage lights, pyrotechnics(flash powder), and fog. If the guy who does the lights is not familiar with the music or doesn't care, it lessens the impact of a performance. I just wish I could have been there to enhance the "Thick as a Brick" video with a little more lighting experience. Sorry, Light (Man)Technician.
