Have a drink with these 2. You can't be serious? Absolutely Karloff. Halloween means drink responsibly and use a designated driver. Normally I give out candy and fix my drinks before watching Horror films till Midnight.

I remember this Phantom because it was the first version I saw back in the 60's. Herbert Lom did not need a fancy mask and he did look scary. Not bad for a remake. Even Iron Maiden did their version. Bruce Dickinson as the Phantom. Even Michael Crawford likes to be the Phantom. I still like Dick Cheney as the Phantom. Oops. Lon Chaney Sr. Sometimes I get Lon and Dick mixed up.

Halloween is 17 days away. If you go shopping at K Mart you may have seen this. Or at Wal-Mart. Wherever I go, I look for displays that will eventually end up as next years decorations. The key is to beg gently the manager of each store to save these after Halloween is over. If you are polite and courteous, most stores will save your name and keep these items from being needlessly trashed. The best ones have Universal Monsters logo on each display piece. The clock is ticking on these works of art.

My favorite Ghost flick ever! What an intro and superb acting. "Whatever walked there, walked alone." Does this remind you of something? "A Passion Play" Another great classic which means Halloween. "Who is holding my hand?" Dr. Markway to the rescue. I can't get enough of those breathing walls! I just love this beyond all other spook flicks.

Okay, Tull-o-ween officially begins at dark on October 19th through October 31st. This will allow 13 Nights of Terror to endulge in. The kids will get their treats on the 31st, so my treats start earlier. This is my reward for all the hard work putting up decorations. There are many forms of Tull-o-ween. 151 Bacardi and Coke on the Rocks....... The Bat Rules.

Michael Berryman A very intelligent and articulate actor. I met him at a Halloween Store several years ago. What a class guy and this movie kicks ass. Another Classic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Berryman

Great thread you have here Jim!
I'm not big into "horror" movies.
But a few of my favorites are:
1. An American Werewolf in London I used to love this movie. I watched it so many times when it was out on Betamax.
Of course the "change" scene was classic for it's time:
2. Poltergiest Great casting in this one by Speilberg.
This scene is pretty intense. Viewer discretion advised.
And finally, the brilliant....

Clip 3 - "Don't you know a joke when you hear one?"

This guy is a lot like me when I was younger. I used to stay underwater for long periods of time. Eventually I fell in love with a hot chick. We finally got to know each other. We got married and went on a honeymoon. Love is blind sometimes. Even a creature like me can find true love.

And you know after all the act is wearing thin.

Norman Bates Running a motel is hard work. You have to keep an eye on everything. Some guests take long showers and waste water. This lady was caught stealing. This guy was trespassing. It's hard cleaning up all the mess. Norman Bates was just taking care of business. It's all his mother's fault anyway. She told him to do it.

The Addams Family Uncle Fester - Light Technician Lurch on Keyboards. Cousin Itt was a Tull fan for sure. Ian reminds me of Gomez sometimes. Those crazy eyes. Morticia Rocks! Kind of like Ian and Shona? Just kidding Ian. ;D
