Unexpectedly, I find direct elements of Jethro Tull in some Scandinavian metal/prog bands. Just two examples: Famine, in Opeth's newest album, Heritage (beginning at 4:54) and Realization from Ayreon's Human Equation.
Has Ian or anyone else from the band every commented on this?
