Was Baker Street Muse ever performed live. Everyone I talk to says they don't think so. Wonder why? Beautifully written and arranged. Don't understand why. Maybe too complicated, somehow. Not enough set time, possible. Anyone else? Or did you light this fire under me?

It's not on any bootlegs from '75 that I have, and The Ministry of Information doesn't seem to mention it either.

I'm sure that the fact that the song is mostly a studio construction has something to do with it. I'll bet they gave it a try in rehearsal and it just didn't come off well live. Ian has said as much about Locomotive Breath (believe it or not) because it was constructed bit by bit in the studio. He said he was surprised that it comes off so well live.... I'm sure if it sounded any good live it would be a staple as popular a song as it is. Even just a little bit of "Mother England Reverie" would have been great. Darin

The Minstrel In The Gallery Tour was one of the shortest. It started around September 27 and went to December 3 1975. They played in mostly college venues and only in the United States. The next concerts where in May 1976 they played European date There are only a handful of dates that would be a genuine TOTRNRTYTD tour. Then in July of 76 they did the US and "the Stadium" where Tull vision was used. I wonder if Jeffrey leaving and John coming aboard might of had something to do with this???

The entire Baker Street Muse was played on channell one at the Norwegian Broadcasting System a year ago. I just turned on my clock radio to set the wake up volume for the next morning when it started. Then I had to listen for the next 16 minutes before I could turne off and sleep.

I'd like a nice Cold Wind to Valhalla live, personally. I've heard the one that's truncated on one of the box-sets, but I don't think that I've ever heard the full song live.

Full 'Cold Wind' as a radio session/live on the minstrels in the red house boot .... brilliant.
Aqualung on the same session ... best ever version in my opinion.

Aqualung is live but "Cold Wind" is not.
