Thanks to the quads there are songs that I never liked enough to want to listen to when I played an album but have now become enjoyable enough to want to listen to on a regular basis. The vocals are the real improvement for me. Some songs are missing sounds but the ones that aren't are the real winners. Been playing the Aqualung quads and side 2 is a huge improvement. Hymn 43 quad has become my favorite song on the album. I never liked the overbearing vocals on the original. Now I'm really enjoying the music with the vocals toned down alot on the quad. This has gone from a 6.5/10 to an 8.5/10. My god and locomotive breath have gone from 6.5/10 to 7.5/10 due to the vocals also. Wind up is a different version altogether. I think the guitar being less overbearing really improves this from a 6/10 to an 8/10. I'm waiting for Warchild remix now so I can hear the quads. But I've got bungle in the jungle quad on cd which is also a better version than the original imo. I'd say it has gone from 7/10 to 8/10. The vocals have a bit more sting to them. Who else prefers some quads?

Hey T,
I have to admit that I rarely listen to any of the quad recordings. The only one that stands out to me is Wind Up which was so different from the original, which I've always preferred original.

I prefer the remixed 5.1 surround, and I don't like the strained vocals on the Wind up quad. The only quad I prefer over a 5.1 is DSOTM, and that's not Tull!

I prefer the old version of wind up which the quad was taken from. My mistake. But as for hymn 43, my God and locomotive breath the quad will always be the best versions
