Oh.forgot. Today, he has a 4 part Passion Play live thingee. Never saw a video of that tour as clear as that one. And APP at MSG was my very FIRST Tull show (1st outta 50+). I absolutely adored Ian's "saxaphone period" of APP and WC. It added a great dimension to their sound!
BTW, I'm never going to another Tull or Ian show again, and that includes Jones Beach in June. Sorry, NonFat. I cant take the BS anymore. Did ya see their setlist from last nite? Very refreshing and new: Bouree, Water Carrier, Dun, Too Old.., . And, the seldom played "Locomotive Breath" and "Aqualung". (Where can I hear those last two? Were they ever released on albums? Or are they new?

Ohh....more songs from the setlist....yummy! breath of fresh air: "Eurology", "Fat Man", "Skating"......
("We're gonna dust off some gems that have rarely been played in concert".yeah, right. And we all know "Skating" was about global warming! haha) Ian's told more f*****n lies than Tull has compilation + best of's+ acoustic, etc. albums, methinks.

Yikes!!! I watched about 2 minutes of the video and was blown away. The photo of the band and road crew is awesome. I'll have to watch everything next weekend. No time right now and I'm going out of town tomorrow. Thx.

That was blatant false advertising by Ian, saying there were going to be surprises, stuff they've never played before, or not for a long time, and a bunch of new stuff too. What a joke. That set list was pathetic, starting off with Dun Ringill just like he did with the IA shows a few months ago, then playing IA solo stuff like Eurology and the Fatman-clone Water Carrier, as well as Fatman itself. The rest was same old, same old, with not very much for Martin to do. Everything you have been saying all along is true. Jeff P.S. You needn't insert those silly asteriks....we don't sweat the occasional (or even not so occasional) four letter word here.

Or are they new? I must have missed this before but I'm pissing in my pants now..."where can I hear those last two...were they ever released on albums, or are they new?..." stop it, you're killing me! I can't say I blame you for not going to any more shows. Like Preston, when I saw the current setlist I wished I hadn't bought tickets to Jones Beach and Holmdale. Feel like a bit of a sucker, actually. Ian is like Lucy holding the football and pulling it away each time we Charlie Browns try to kick it. We never learn. Tull fans -- at least those who don't worship Ian Anderson -- are disgusted. Look at our 'Trashing Jethro Tull' thread. One of our most popular threads here. That's because when people know they can speak freely on a forum, without fear of censorship or reprisals, they speak their minds. People yearn to be free. I will go to the two shows in June, but that's it. I will not go to any further ones absent a bona fide new album tour, but since a new album is "not in the works" not now, not ever, I guess these two will be my last. And if by the end of the year there is still no new Tull album, I doubt I will be any mood to continue talking about Tull on this, or any other, forum. Jeff
