Here's an interesting, if banal, little piece written by a guy named Craig Marks, who I believe is the well-known music journalist Craig Marks, I guy I grew up with and was best friends with for a long time....saw Tull with him at least once, in 1978 at MSG, and he loved it back then. (He was also a huge sports fan...originally wanted to be a sportswriter, so I'm pretty sure this is the same guy.) Anyway, he wrote this article about the re-naming of the Cleveland Indians ball park from Jacobs Field to Progressive Field. His point about naming ballparks after corporate sponsors is well taken. And his idea about having Tull play a 25 minute version of "Take Me Out to the Ballpark" during the seventh inning stretch of future Indians home games, although meant as a sarcastic joke, is really not half bad! www.akron.com/akron-ohio-opinions.asp?aID=1389Jeff

I'm not so sure now that it's the same Craig Marks I grew up with, who until recently was the managing editor of Blender Magazine. It appears that this particular Craig Marks is just a local reporter in Akron.
A little weird because everything else added up, the fact that he was a teenager in the seventies, likes sports and music, is a journalist, made me think that it was my childhood friend.
Still an interesting little article though.
