You're right, I was admiring it's handsomeness, but (rudely) never thought to mention it. Good job Darin. Perhaps to be integrated into the website soon?

I wouldn't say it's not his best---it is a very unique one! What tour are you (and the picture) referring to?

Ian would start the show in the long duster and big brim hat. There was a long great taped keyboard intro build up to the show that was, at last, interrupted by Ian singing SFTW walking up the isle in from the audience. It was a great return from the big voice blow out and gig cancellation of 84. So 3 years and suddenly Tull is actually back on radio with Farm on the Freeway and Jumpstart and a pretty energetic concert. It was good. (Oh and then there was a Grammy) Darin

On which date did you attend the concert? Was it a SFTW capella with backing track? A bold way to start a show in the midst of a comeback (newer listeners being more accustomed to Steel Monkey, Aqualung and the like I'm assuming) and very characteristic of the band--I'm sure it was delivered and received exceptionally well.

I went in December of 87 Kai. It wasn't such a bold move, doing SFTW, (most) everyone there were longtime fans that didn't have lowered expectations of Ian's voice. I'm sure we all thought he would get over it back in 84. He did nicely at the show it was great in fact. Fairport opened for them and participated in various Tull songs throughout the show. Here's an OK quality vid of that opening.

Sometimes I just cant help my self. I don't use paper sleeves for my boots. Saw that these Didi Zill photos were from 2 days earlier in Rotterdamn and had to pair them up. Its also Glascocks 2nd show with Tull. This is the TOTRR tour we never heard..... This is a whole show in early 76, in Paris and contains songs we here in the US never heard live. Requiem, Quizz Kid, Rainbow Blues, The old version of Living in the Past, Taxi Grab, Big Dipper......great show.

This from Barrie Wentzell, This was just simply the best and most unexpected Tull experience. TAAB 1972 You just did not know what to expect. I had never been to a "Funny" concert before.
