Very comprehensive review, nice to see one written from someone who is familiar w/ JT and the body of work.
Interesting that he doesn't include Wootten Bassett Town or Banker Bets, Banker Wins...
I've only listened to it a few times, but I can see quite a bit of what he is saying...not sure I'd give it 5 stars, but maybe not that low....

- Upper Sixth Loan Shark - First time I've heard Ian curse. Still a good song. And oh so true. Listen to the opening of Baker Street Muse...."shit, shit, shit, take two"

This clip is from Wootton Bassett: "The Town That Remembers" The behind-the-scenes story of the town of Wootton Bassett. Thanks for that, very poignant film/story. Good to know the background.

Good thing I was looking here, I was looking at the Lynn date but Foxwoods is probably closer to me (just checked, yep, it's above Boston) Thinking maybe some of my NY and NJ Tull friends could come join me...maybe...that would be really really fun. Yeah, I got a spouse and a few bff that like Tull but they don't get it...you know? Back in 2004 was some of the most fun I've ever had! Yeah, I don't get out a lot, haha! Still not seeing the Oct 4 Mohegan Sun date listed on j-tull.com...just Lynn for the Boston area. MS is a bit farther away from Lynn distance-wise, but Lynn is a PIA to get to from where I am....

Anyone been to Lynn before? Wondering about the facility...acoustics? camera friendly?
Seems to be becoming popular...Frampton just played there, Charlie Daniels Band, Pat Benatar are coming.
Wish it had been the Hanover Theater in Worcester...nice venue and very camera friendly.

Hmmmm, where did you see Oct 4? Presumably that's Mohegan Sun...the Tull Tour page doesn't list it and the Mohegan Sun site/Ticketmaster don't go out much past the summer. Ah, never mind, I saw it was on the official tour t-shirt. Funny how that listed all the dates, even before the j-tull.com page I was hoping they'd come to the Hanover Theater again, but looks like Lynn is the only Boston area show. Oddly, the Lynn Auditorium site didn't let you in @ 10AM today to buy, you had to link in through the j-tull.com listing...

Wolfgang's Vault now has video, this is the Tanglewood 1970 concert, minus the running time. There are also some audio shows, e.g. Hammersmith and Philadelphia. There are also some other great videos/audio recordings.

Anyone see IA in Northampton, MA last night? I took my son, was about 8 rows back.
It was held at the Calvin theater, decent venue, little frayed around the edges. JFYI, if you ever go there, they didn't check for cameras, etc. In fact, at the beginning of the show, the announcer specifically asked everyone to refrain from 'flash' photography. Hmmm, I wonder if that meant I could have brought my DSLR w/ fast lenses and not used flash...probably not.
The set list was identical to what's been posted, e.g. Clearwater. Only difference was that Ian dedicated Nursie to his brother's partner of 50 years, Jim Hastings (?) who had passed away the day before.
Overall, I was pleased w/ the show, although I didn't care for the version of Aqualung. TAAB sounded great, along with Budapest. My son, who's a musician, loves seeing them play for their technical capabilities, and he gets a kick (is impressed) out of IA as the performer.
The only thing that struck me as I sat watching/listening was what was really different from the summer, having seen JT in Boston. With two of the members the same, and the setlist very close to the Tull show, was it worth my money? This is a guy who first saw them on the Aqualung tour way back and has seen them faithfully nearly every year since, and bought pretty much every album as it came out.
Obviously, on one hand, IA=JT, so it's difficult, if not impossible, to separate them. Then again...I did love hearing Wond'ring Again, and would really enjoy hearing other rare gems in this type of show from IA, e.g. Dr. Bogenbroom, Baker St. Muse, etc.
