Can't wait! But it better include the Paris 1975 film as it is from the War Child tour... Agree, and more video...I recall War Child was supposed to be a movie, a la "Tommy" or sorts...there was supposedly a lot of footage (not just concert)

Got mine a few days early and immediately ripped it to iTunes in Apple Lossless, then put it on my Gen3 iPod through my FiiO E-18 DAC into my AT cans...and boy, it's glorious. I haven't done a comparo to the MFSL, but I'm thinking that it's improved...found the missing sax, not a surprise as I recall IA saying that he utterly loathes the sax...

My copy hasn't arrived yet but Amazon sent me credit to download the digital version because it says it was available for 'autorip' but they downloaded the 2003 version. I haven't listened to it all yet but I love the extra two verses in "The Foot of the Stairs" and the instrumental The Big Top. It's so great to hear Ian playing Jethro Tull again! Dan Just ordered from Amazon U.S., one-click...but haven't gotten the same notice. My estimated delivery is 7 July; says it's 'in stock'. Just to confirm...this is the correct release, right? www.amazon.com/Passion-Play-2xCD-2xDVD/dp/B00J4A27B2I noticed that it has a bunch of old APP reviews...

Well done Darin, just had a look...that's pretty painstaking, syncing up the snippets of the songs...

So I'm seeing conflicting reports on what this tour is all about...either a TAAB2 or 'best of' show...nice to see it's not coming back to the Lynn Auditorium but so far, I don't think I'm going (Boston).

Also put me down for Supercharged..."and now for our second number..."
I also like a boot from Philly I think...w/ IA cranking out the last verse of "Bungle in the Jungle", reaching so high and the back walls of the stadium...incredible.

I like the book, but man - we are all getting older Ian, use some decent size font!!! My thoughts exactly, had to break out the magnifying glass!

As I recall, that was his raggedy overcoat, which was stolen a few years later...
let's hope it finally comes out next March.

great to hear, we only had Loco in Lynn, odd. It is a bummer, I agree, Kismet is one of my faves off TAAB2.

Chris glad you enjoyed the gig. Nice pictures as well. Amazes me that they stop people taking photo's with half decent camera's but allow mobile phone use, a decent picture says more than a crap one does, and nowadays some mobiles are pretty sound in terms of resolution but their constant use, being held high to video whole songs can be much more distracting than a couple of decent cameras being used for still shots Thanks, yeah same here...the sec guy actually said I could use my phone, P&S, etc... and I did see a guy to my left w/ a/ DSLR...but I was right in the line-of-sight of the sec guy and he wasn't

Also went to the Lynn show w/ my son last night. Very good show, was great to hear TAAB1 in its entirety, especially a few bits not played in '72. Very odd how 'quickly' it went, he cut short the 'bom, bom, bom' end of side A and beginning of side B.... Also like TAAB2, that album's been growing on me. Ryan did very well, my son commented on how he thought he must have some theatre/stage experience. Acoustics were good, my 2 complaints w/ Lynn are 1) The floor slopes downward from the stage...I was 5 rows back and wasn't getting good clearance from the heads in front of me (as you'll see) and 2) bathrooms were pretty bad, in that one only had 2 urinals and toilets and the other even less (men's). While they didn't frisk you on the way in, I got shut down taking pix...even though I left my big 'pro' DSLR home, and was using a small Nikon V1...the security guy said it was 'pro' and couldn't use. Oh well. Here are a few pix I managed to grab before came over, and more here in my flickr set. You can see some head interference... they added an orchestra pit in front of the stage with an additional 2 rows of seat approximately 40 more seats all in the center Thanks...I found another reference doc that says it's 13 feet from center stage front to the railing.

The Lynn Auditorium actually looks pretty nice...see this 3-D look tourwrist.com/panos/20166. Has anyone been to a show yet this spring? Any thoughts on bringing a camera in? Acoustics? And, I'm curious will they put seats in the open, roped off area or will the rows start w/ the permanent seats? I.e. is row #1 the first permanent seat row?

Nice of him to do that, but for me, the quality isn't stellar, for a professional shooting...IA overexposed, shots of Florian out of focus...
But, I'm also thinking that this portends a full performance DVD?

Great info, thanks for the interviews & posting...
On this reply from Ian:
What was his 'departure' from music? Is he talking about his country gentleman/salmon farmer era?

It's definitely grown on me, I'm playing it a lot now...like the later versions of the refrain, "33 Mulberry Drive..." & "54 Mulberry Lane". The only downside to the song is that it will mean the live show is coming to an end

[quote author=quizzkid board=general thread=2666 post=24270 time=1336053989Kismet in Suburbia..........Just can't get enough of it. Kismet struck me from the first sample , sent happy chills the first full onine listen , and one which will always remain in my playlist. My highlight is the military Gerald part and 'ghostly flicker' flute splash. Dan[/quote] I agree, my initial listen pointed to Banker Bets BW, Wotten Bassett Town, & A Change of Horses as standouts. But Kismet & Old School Song are really growing on me as I listen to the album a lot more.
